What is it?
Two-Factor Authentication, or 2FA, is an extra layer of security that helps stop fraudsters from gaining access to your account, even if they know your password.
When enabled, it prompts you to enter a code generated from your mobile authentication app.
Note: This feature also serves as a second chance to double-check that your wallet address is correct, so you will need access to your mobile phone each time you place an order.
Enabling 2FA
- Log into your Coinmama account
- Click on ‘Profile & Security’ on the left-hand side of the page
- Select ‘Enable 2FA’
- Follow the instructions
Note: We strongly recommend turning on 2FA wherever it is offered, for your own peace of mind.
Using 2FA
-
When placing an order, you’ll be prompted to confirm the order and wallet.
-
Open the authentication app on your phone and enter the corresponding six-digit code.
- If the code is correct, you will be directed to the Payment Method menu to proceed with the order.

Disabling 2FA
You can disable your 2FA at any stage through the ‘Profile & Security’ section. When disabled, you will be required to confirm your wallet address via email after placing an order.
