Before you can make a purchase, your identity has to be verified. You’ll be asked to verify your identity before you buy. You’ll be told exactly what is needed. Any legitimate cryptocurrency provider will ask to verify your identity.

• A government-issued ID, such as a passport, a driver’s license, or another national ID
• Any other documents or details you are asked for

How to apply for Level 1 verification

1. Complete the registration form: enter your email address (to be used as your login and main form of communication), password, and country of residence. You can check to see if your area is restricted here.
2. Add your personal information: you’ll be told which details are needed, such as your full name and date of birth.
3. Add your contact information: if you are asked for your address, give your physical residential address.
4. Verify your identity: you’ll be told exactly what is needed, for example a photo of your government-issued ID.
5. Confirm your email address: after signing-up to Coinmama you will receive a confirmation email from us. We require this if you are wishing to proceed with verification, so that we can be sure we’re sending information such as order updates to the correct place.
6. You’re all set! You’ll be told if anything else is needed. In the meantime, you may want to learn more about why identity verification is needed and your account limits.
