What is Affiliate Marketing?
The concept of affiliate marketing is pretty simple: Promote offers and earn revenue. Companies like Coinmama enjoy promoting their brand through influencers and other ambassadors to reach new audiences, making it a great way to acquire new customers.
It’s all about the traffic
Rounding up your friends and getting them to buy will only get you so far. To take your affiliate efforts to the next level, you’ll need to invest some time in your different media channels, whether being a blog, a news site, a comparison site, or through social networks such as; IG, FB and Twitter. Here are a few popular methods to drive traffic to your content.
- Social media
- Email marketing
- And there are many more
Search Engine Optimisation or SEO is the simple activity of creating magical content to inform, educate and charm your site visitors and turn them into loyal fans. SEO ensures that a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the site is offering.
Another popular way affiliates reach their audience is through social media platforms.
Youtube Channels like BoxMining, provide high-quality beginner-friendly information in video format. Potential users find content on Youtube as it’s genuinely something they’re interested in.
BoxMining, like any content creator or affiliate, is incentivized to provide the best possible information in order to rank higher on Youtube. Ultimately, meaning a more successful business.
Other social media networks that are great for driving traffic are Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. Each social network has its own tips and tricks in order to gain traction, but once you reach that sweet spot, you can start sending massive amounts of traffic to partners.
PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Some programs may forbid affiliates to do PPC, as you may be driving up the ad price for the company you’re affiliating for. The most common place for affiliates to run ads on are Facebook and Google and costs vary based on the platform’s business models. For example, Google ad costs are based on keywords, where Facebook typically charges based on impressions or clicks.
Email marketing is something that pretty much everyone is exposed to these days. No matter how many times you click “Unsubscribe”, somehow they’ll always be a company that will end up sending you a newsletter email.
A popular strategy in the email marketing world is to collect a list of niche emails, and then regularly send them content and information that they’d like to see. Many of these emails include affiliate links and other promotions.
One great thing about email marketing is that it’s one of the few channels where you fully own your traffic. On search engines and social media, the algorithms often change and can leave you with inconsistent traffic.
Now that you have some ideas on how to drive traffic to Coinmama, let’s dive into how to become a Coinmama affiliate and the ins and outs of our user interface.
How to Get Started As An Affiliate with Coinmama
On the main navigation bar, click the affiliate option.
Once on the affiliate page, you can sign up as a Coinmama affiliate and earn 15% commission on all your referrals’ completed orders. You can receive payouts in Bitcoin or USD. An important thing to note about Coinmama’s program is that the earnings are uncapped with a lifetime commission!
Assuming we’re in the early days of cryptocurrency, earning a lifetime commission in Bitcoin is a powerful concept. Any commission you earn could be appreciated along with the Bitcoin price plus people tend to buy again and again, especially as bitcoin becomes more popular which is where your lifetime commission really starts to pay off.
Once you’re set up and logged in to your Coinmama affiliate account, you’ll see this interface.
On the left hand side of your screen, you’ll see this side menu.
This is where you can experiment with different marketing tools like landing pages and banners. It’s important to track your landing pages and banners, as you’ll likely experience different conversion rates from different pages.
For example, one of Coinmama’s landing pages caters specifically to users that want to sell Bitcoin. If a user clicks a link with buying intention, they may be turned off when the copy is related to selling.
Use the tools, it’s easy to get the right landing page for the occasion!
Under reports, you’ll find a feed of all the referrals you’ve made, along with their verification status, the commission given, and when they made their first deposits. You can also query information between certain date ranges, user languages, tracking codes, and more.
Under payments, you can see detailed records of when all of your payouts were processed. Once you reach a minimum balance of $100 in commission and have three first time deposits, you’ll be ready to receive your first payout!
The earnings tab allows you to see every time a referral makes a trade on the platform, and the corresponding commission amount is given.

Meet Austin, one of our amazing Coinmama affiliates!
My name is Austin Tuwiner, and I’m the owner of Bitpremier.com, an educational cryptocurrency affiliate website.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Coinmama, among other cryptocurrency companies by sending directed traffic to their websites.
It’s a dream come true to be able to educate people on my passions while enjoying the freedom of working remotely for myself.
There are many perks to being an affiliate marketer. The ability to earn income online is a foreign concept to many, yet a powerful one. In my case, I was able to take a 10 month trip around the world, while getting paid thanks to my various affiliate marketing efforts.
What’s so powerful about the concept of affiliate marketing is that the incentives are there for both sides. It goes without saying, any successful sale will earn you money, and a program would only set their commission at a rate that’s profitable for them.
At Bitpremier we’ve decided to use Search Engine Optimization as our main traffic method. By writing long-form educational content and understanding Google’s algorithm (well sometimes) we’re able to get to the top of the search results and reach our audience.
To summarize my experience as an affiliate manager, I’d say there are lots of bitcoin exchanges and different opportunities out there to promote, and each one will always have it’s Pros and Cons. I personally look to partner with strong, stable companies, to build long-term relationships with (especially when they offer lifetime commissions 🙂 and Coinmama has always delivered, so I know I can depend on them. They’re constantly evolving and growing, making everything worthwhile. So make sure you’re promoting the right brands as well.
